Ways you can Help | Raising Funds for Charity
There are many ways you can support your charity of choice and leaving a gift in your Will is just one of them.
It’s always worth contacting a charity to find out how you can raise funds - and visiting their website can usually give you some great ideas too. The charity will not only be very grateful for your help, but will also be able to tell you about the ways they can use your donation the most effectively, including the use of gift aid.
Jumping out of an aeroplane may not be everyone’s idea of fun, but for many it’s an exhilarating experience: a fantastic way to raise money for charity whilst having an incredible adrenaline fueled adventure yourself! Many charities are now able to arrange this for you and it’s usual that you pay a booking fee and then raise a minimum sponsorship level before you make your first skydive, in tandem with a qualified instructor.
A number of charities have embraced the level of support they can obtain by providing gold bond places to athletes who wish to compete in a marathon; perhaps the most well known of these in the UK is the Virgin London Marathon. However, if you are not fortunate to be granted a gold bond place you can still run for your chosen charity. Most charities will provide you with all the support they can in order for you to reach the finish line, with training hints and tips, running vests and quite often, support on the day of the event.
